Shimano 2026 NEW Reel Roundup: Sephia BB, Soare BB, Miravel & BeastMaster

Shimano's 2026 summer reel releases cover four very different roles: dedicated eging, finesse saltwater spinning, lightweight general-purpose spinning, and high-output electric offshore fishing. Sephia BB, Soare BB, Miravel, and BeastMaster 3000II therefore should not be ranked on a single performance scale; each is built around a different line class, retrieve system, and target application.

Four Reel Families at a Glance

The three spinning families share several current Shimano line-management and drive concepts. BeastMaster 3000II is mechanically separate: it combines manual gearing with an electric motor, selectable speed and power ranges, and onboard display functions.

2026 Sephia BB: Eging-Specific Control

Sephia BB is offered in four compact C3000 configurations. The single-handle C3000S and C3000SHG weigh 215 g (7.6 oz); the double-handle C3000SDH and C3000SDHHG weigh 230 g (8.1 oz). Normal-geared models recover 75 cm (29.5 in) per turn, while the high-geared versions recover 86 cm (33.9 in).

The 2026 update adds Infinity Drive, InfinityXross, and Anti-Twist Fin. Infinity Drive reduces sliding resistance around the main shaft, InfinityXross distributes load across a larger gear-tooth contact area, and Anti-Twist Fin controls slack near the line roller. A CI4+ body and G Free Body layout reduce mass around the forward section, while Rapid Fire Drag allows a relatively large drag-setting change with limited knob rotation.

2026 Soare BB: Light-Line Saltwater Focus

Soare BB has three models. The compact 500SPG weighs 150 g (5.3 oz), while C2000SSPG and C2000SSHG each weigh 180 g (6.3 oz). All three use a 45 mm (1.77 in) handle. Their retrieve rates span 58–81 cm (22.8–31.9 in) per turn, allowing selection between slower line pickup and the faster 6.0:1 C2000SSHG.

C2000 models combine MicroModule Gear II and SilentDrive with Infinity Drive and InfinityXross. High Response Drag is calibrated to begin releasing line quickly as load changes, which is relevant when using low-strength lines. The 500SPG omits several C2000 technologies—including MicroModule Gear II, X-Ship, InfinityXross, SilentDrive, and Anti-Twist Fin—so its main distinction is minimum size and mass rather than identical feature content.

2026 Miravel: Lightweight Multi-Purpose Range

Miravel covers eleven models from 1000 to C5000XG. Its CI4+ body and CI4+ MagnumLite Rotor keep rotational inertia and body weight low. The redesigned series adds Infinity Drive, Anti-Twist Fin, a One-Piece Bail, and X Protect, extending the original lightweight platform with higher-load winding support, line control, and water-resistance features.

Model weights range from 170 g (6.0 oz) for the 1000 to 270 g (9.5 oz) for the C5000XG. The lineup includes shallow-spool finesse models, standard 2500 and C3000 configurations, and 4000–C5000 models with maximum drag ratings up to 11 kg (24.3 lb). This breadth separates Miravel from the technique-specific Sephia and Soare families.

BeastMaster 3000II: Selectable Speed and Power

BeastMaster 3000II is an electric reel with Shimano's first Two-Speed System. Speed Range reaches a listed maximum winding speed of 215 m/min (235 yd/min). Power Range provides a listed practical sustained winding force of 25 kg (55.1 lb), matching the reel's maximum drag rating.

A mechanical shift control changes between the two ranges. The reinforced drive system is supported by a HAGANE body, while Thermo Adjust Drag lowers motor speed when the drag slips to limit excess heat. The Fine Dot LCD can display Tankenmaru information when connected to compatible boat equipment.

The reel weighs 1,100 g (38.8 oz) and requires an external power source; a lithium battery is not built into the reel. Electric-reel certification, radio functions, and regional compatibility should be confirmed for the country and vessel where it will be used.
