1. Introduction
At jdmreelhub.com, we are committed to providing high-quality products and exceptional service to our customers. This Refund Policy explains the conditions under which refunds and returns are accepted. Please read it carefully before placing an order.
2. Refund and Return Conditions
2.1 Our Mistakes (Initial Defects / Wrong Items, etc.)
Refunds and returns are only possible if the product is defective, incorrect, or there is another issue that is completely our fault.
In such cases, we will respond in one of the following ways:

A full refund, or

Reshipment of the correct item (or an alternative item)
If we reship an item, we will cover the reshipping cost.
In addition, if reshipment occurs due to our mistake and you are charged customs duties, VAT, import taxes, customs clearance fees, or similar charges, we will reimburse those charges (please provide proof of payment such as receipts).
To be eligible, you must report the issue within 14 days of receiving the product and provide evidence such as photographs.
2.2 No Cancellations for Customer Reasons
We do not accept any cancellations or offer refunds for orders once they have been confirmed if the reason is due to a change of mind or other customer-related reasons. Please review your order details carefully before confirming your purchase.
2.3 No Refunds After 14 Days
If more than 14 days have passed since you received your product, we will not offer any refunds or returns, regardless of the reason.
3. Warranty Policy
Shimano and Daiwa products are covered by warranty only when used within Japan. Please note that warranty coverage is not valid for overseas use.
However, in the case of initial defects or damage upon arrival, we will take full responsibility by arranging a repair, refund, replacement, or other appropriate solution. To be eligible, such issues must be reported within 14 days of receiving the product.
4. Customs Duties, Taxes, and Import Fees (Important)
International shipments are cleared by customs based on the rules and procedures of each country and the carrier (such as FedEx / DHL). We cannot intervene in or control customs clearance procedures.

Customs duties, VAT, import taxes, customs clearance fees, and any similar charges are the responsibility of the recipient (customer) in principle.

Because we cannot be involved in these matters, we do not accept any claims regarding such charges, customs clearance decisions, or delays.

Before placing an order, you are responsible for checking your country’s duty/tax rates, import regulations, and any required documents.

If you refuse to pay duties/taxes or refuse delivery, and the item is seized or destroyed by customs or the carrier, we will not provide any compensation.
Exception: If the case falls under Section 2.1 (Our Mistakes) and you are charged duties/taxes due to reshipment caused by our mistake, we will reimburse those charges as stated in Section 2.1.
5. Shipping Damage and Loss Policy
International shipping may sometimes involve damage or loss.

We provide a tracking number for every order at the time of shipment.

If damage or loss during transit is confirmed, we will provide full compensation or reshipment.
However, please note:

If the carrier (e.g., FedEx) provides us with Proof of Delivery (POD), we cannot accept a claim that the package was not received, and we will not provide compensation or reshipment based on such a claim.
6. Exchange Policy
We do not accept product exchanges. Even if the requested exchange item is the same price as the purchased item, exchanges are strictly not possible.
7. Return Process
7.1 Reporting an Issue
To initiate a return due to our mistake, please contact us at support@jdmreelhub.com within 14 days of receiving your order. Include your order number, a description of the problem, and any supporting photographs.
7.2 Return Instructions
Once your return request is approved, we will provide you with instructions on how to return the item.
7.3 Condition of Returned Items
Items must be returned unused and with all included accessories and parts.
Please note that if fishing line has been spooled onto the reel, it will be considered used.
We reserve the right to refuse a refund if the returned item does not meet these criteria.
8. Refund Process
8.1 Inspection and Approval
Once we receive your returned item, we will inspect it and notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If approved, we will process the refund to your original method of payment within a certain number of days.
8.2 Shipping Costs
If the return is due to our mistake, we will cover the return shipping costs. Otherwise, the customer is responsible for the shipping costs associated with returning the item.
8.3 Refund Method and Currency
Refunds will be processed according to the original payment method and currency used at the time of purchase.
