The newly introduced "26 STEEZ SV LIGHT TW" from DAIWA is here. It is a reel that achieves the ultimate versatility while enhancing its capability to handle lightweight lures.
The Perfect Form of Versatile Finesse: 26 STEEZ SV LIGHT TW
The "26 STEEZ SV LIGHT TW" is the successor to the "SV LIGHT LTD" supervised by professional angler Toshinari Namiki in 2018. It has been brushed up in every aspect to match modern bass fishing, which is becoming increasingly tough. It aims to be the ultimate light versatile reel that, while approaching a bait finesse machine, can handle heavy-class lures without any problems.
Through the synergistic effect of the adopted DAIWA technologies: "SV BOOST", "Newly Designed Low Inertia Spool", and "Tapered TWS", it realizes a low-trajectory cast like an arrow, from lightweight lures typically thrown with bait finesse machines to heavy-class lures.

Newly Designed Low Inertia Spool

Tapered TWS
The spool is equipped with a φ32mm G1 Duralumin SV LIGHT spool. It has succeeded in a weight reduction of approximately 14.8% after winding line compared to the "24 STEEZ SV TW", improving the rotational response with lightweight lures. Also, it has achieved about 22% lower inertia compared to the "24 STEEZ SV TW".

Casting with an even lower trajectory than before is possible, acquiring casting performance that shines especially in severe situations.
Two gear ratios are set. The lineup includes an all-purpose 7.8 (78cm per handle turn) that can be used for both pitching and winding, and a 9.2 (92cm per handle turn) that excels in fishing emphasizing quick returns, line slack recovery, and pulling fish away from cover.
The line capacity is also attractive. It can store 40-80m of 8lb fluorocarbon line and 120m of #1.5 PE line, corresponding to various lures while leaning towards bait finesse. In modern bass fishing, where various lures are frequently used from shore to boat, this line capacity is an excellent match.
The drag adopts UTD (Ultimate Tournament Drag), demonstrating an even drag performance that acts more as it is tightened. Also, by equipping an AL (Aluminum) star drag, operability is pursued. Attention to the adjustment sound of one click results in an easy-to-understand, finely echoing click sound.

AL Star Drag
It is also equipped with a drag pull-out click that conveys the line situation through sound, providing peace of mind even when a big fish is hooked.

In addition, it is fully armed with DAIWA technologies suitable for a high-end model, such as "Hyper Drive Design" which maintains initial performance and realizes an elevation of basic performance, and "Hyper Drive Digigear" which sustains smooth rotation.
The "STEEZ SV LIGHT TW" is the one and only light versatile model that matches modern bass fishing. It is a reel that we definitely want anglers who seek another fish even in severe situations to try.
