EJ MODE

The Manual Jerk Mode allows for electric winding as long as the PICK UP button is pressed. By combining winding time with rod work, you can create precise one-pitch jerks, as well as control line slack for varied presentations, including falls. The winding speed for PICK UP can be selected from 31 different settings to suit your preference.

The Auto Jerk Mode lets you freely configure the SPEED (winding speed), MOVE (winding time), and STOP (stopping time). While holding the rod, you can perform jerks, but by synchronizing the rod jerks with the rhythm of the electric winding, you can create even more enticing movements. Once you achieve a hit, you can replicate the exact pattern, increasing your chances of continuous hits and even sharing the successful pattern with fellow anglers, potentially boosting the overall catch on the boat.

GIGAMAX MOTOR

The GIGAMAX MOTOR is a brushless motor designed to deliver powerful performance even under elevated heat conditions, where traditional motors often experience reduced efficiency. Unlike conventional motors, it lacks brushes, which are typically carbon or copper components that wear out over time. This absence of brushes not only extends the motor's lifespan but also enhances its durability. Widely used in high-performance applications such as racing cars and bullet trains, the GIGAMAX MOTOR excels in power, speed, and durability, offering top-tier performance.

TOUCH DRIVE

Traditional electric reels used lever or dial systems for speed control, but TOUCH DRIVE introduces Shimano's unique new feature: a see-saw pressure-sensitive switch that can be operated with just one thumb. With TOUCH DRIVE, you can adjust the speed in 31 increments by varying the pressure applied by your thumb, and it also allows you to change the speed by one level with each press. This innovation enables precise adjustments and provides an unprecedented level of control.

SPEED CLUTCH

Easily switch the clutch ON/OFF with a simple press of the clutch lever. Since clutch operation can be performed while thumb-suppressing the spool, it prevents annoying backlash. Moreover, this allows for quick clutch switching while keeping the spool pressed, ensuring that you don't miss your intended depth.

S COMPACT BODY

Not only does the reel itself feature a compact design, but the power cable connector has also been repositioned to the handle side, opposite from previous models. This body design allows for a firm grip on the reel, enhancing palming performance and ensuring comfortable operation.

FIRE MACH SYSTEM

To smoothly reverse the large-diameter spool, multiple SA-RB (Ball Bearings) are strategically placed along the main rotation axis. This design ensures high-speed drop performance with minimal resistance, comparable to the Super Free Spool used in smaller electric reels. It’s ideal for fishing with light rigs or when quick deployment to the target depth is crucial.

THERMO ADJUST DRAG

A control feature designed to prevent abnormal heat generation in the drag system, ensuring stable drag performance. When the motor of an electric reel is engaged and the drag slips, the gears may over-spin, causing excessive heat in the drag area. To mitigate this, the system automatically reduces the motor’s speed when drag slippage occurs.

e-EXCITING DRAG SOUND

EXCITING DRAG SOUND is a feature that produces a sound when the line is pulled out from the spool by a fish. Unlike traditional baitcasting reels, which typically do not emit a drag sound, this feature enhances the angler's experience by stimulating their senses, making the fight with the fish even more enjoyable.The e-EXCITING DRAG SOUND is an electronic version of this.

CI4+

CI4+ is an advanced material used in Shimano reels. It is a reinforced carbon fiber composite that is lighter and stronger than conventional materials, providing increased rigidity and reducing weight, which enhances the overall performance and sensitivity of the reel.

SA-RB

A-RB bearings feature a special anti-corrosion treatment that significantly improves their rust resistance. The SA-RB takes this further by sealing the sides with anti-corrosion materials, greatly reducing salt crystallization and salt damage inside the bearing.
