Thank you for choosing JDMREELHUB.com. This is Kazuki, the owner of the store. Today, I’d like to share a glimpse of one of the most important daily tasks we perform—packing our customers’ products.
Introduction to Our Packing Operations
We started our business about a year ago by selling Japanese market fishing reels to customers worldwide through eBay (we no longer sell on eBay). From the very beginning, many customers have complimented us on the careful packaging of their products. Over the past year, we have not had a single case of damaged goods or a request for product replacements due to defects.
Why Proper Packing Matters
Once a product is packed and handed over to the shipping carrier, everything is in their hands until it reaches the customer. That's why our packing process is the final checkpoint to ensure that the product reaches the customer in perfect condition. We pack items meticulously, even going as far as wrapping small parts with cushioning material that wouldn't normally be packaged separately.
Customer Experience Through Packing
Of course, ensuring the product withstands international shipping is essential, but we also believe that careful packing enhances the overall customer experience. Reels are not inexpensive items, and we want our customers to feel satisfied from the moment they open the box. That’s why we place so much importance on well-executed packing.
Shipping Services and Custom Requests
Currently, we ship exclusively via EMS (Japan Post), but occasionally we receive requests from customers with DHL or FedEx accounts who arrange pickups at our location. Shipping Methods and Cost Efficiency
Unlike EMS, DHL and FedEx have a concept called volumetric weight. Therefore, we are careful to balance durable packaging with compact size to ensure shipping fees remain reasonable without compromising on safety. We always look for ways to reduce shipping costs for our customers.
