MAGSEALED

DAIWA's MAGSEALED technology is designed to prevent water, salt, and debris from entering the reel, using magnetic fluid to form a barrier that protects critical components like bearings, line rollers, and gears from saltwater. DAIWA adapted magnetic fluid technology initially developed by NASA for dust protection in hard drives used in space. Unlike traditional rubber seals that increase handle rotation friction, the magnetic fluid is held in place by a magnetic field, reducing friction and enabling smooth operation. This technology enhances the reel's durability and performance, significantly improving reliability in harsh fishing environments without requiring meticulous maintenance.

MAGSEALED BALL BEARING

Following the revolutionary waterproof and durability technologies applied to the reel body and line roller, DAIWA has extended these advancements to a crucial small component that significantly impacts reel rotation: the ball bearing. Through proprietary technology, DAIWA has become the first in the world to successfully apply MAGSEALED technology directly to the ball bearing itself. By creating a barrier of magnetic fluid, the intrusion of water and foreign particles into the ball bearing is prevented, maintaining its original smooth and light performance. This innovation eliminates the need for traditional seals or packing, significantly reducing rust, salt damage, and unwanted noise. As a result, the waterproofing and durability of the reel are dramatically enhanced, allowing it to retain its initial performance for a longer period.

AIR ROTOR

AIR ROTOR is designed to achieve the ideal spherical shape for a rotating body. Through high-precision rigidity analysis, it maintains the same level of rigidity as traditional rotors while achieving significant weight reduction and lower inertia. The reduction in inertia allows anglers to stop and wind the reel at will, providing excellent responsiveness and a lighter, smoother winding experience.

ATD

DAIWA’'s ATD (Automatic Drag) technology is an innovative system designed to address the issues found in traditional drag systems. ATD ensures a smooth initial drag, releasing lines with consistent tension under strong pressure, and offering gradual resistance under lighter pressure. This adaptability reduces the need for frequent adjustments of drag force and also improves hooking rates. ZAION

ZAION is a top-tier carbon material created by DAIWA using proprietary technology to mold a special resin densely woven with carbon fibers, a process that is extremely difficult to achieve. HYPER DIGIGEAR

The HYPER DIGIGEAR is crafted using C6191, a material with 1.6 times the strength of duralumin, and features an enlarged drive gear for dramatically enhanced strength and durability. The gear teeth were fundamentally redesigned through computer analysis, eliminating even microscopic errors in the manufacturing process. This results in ideal meshing with the pinion gear, delivering both silky-smooth rotation and exceptionally powerful winding force.

ABS II

ABS II features a spool structure that allows lines to be released smoothly, increasing casting distance while minimizing issues like backlash. By increasing the spool diameter and incorporating a reverse taper design, ABS reduces line trouble. The ABS II further enhances long-casting performance by refining the shape of the spool ring.

CROSS WRAP

CROSS WRAP uses an angled cross-wrapping method that prevents lines from cutting into and slipping on the spool. This technique is particularly effective in reducing line troubles, especially when using thin or PE lines, while also ensuring a smoother and more enjoyable casting experience.

TWIST BUSTER Ⅱ
