JOG POWER LEVER
By relocating the power lever to the center of the reel body and changing its shape from a lever to a dial style, the JOG POWER LEVER allows the angler to control winding and clutch on/off operations with just the thumb of the hand holding the rod. This frees the other hand from lever operation entirely. The ergonomic design naturally places the thumb on the top of the reel body when holding the rod, making it a comfortable and effortless operation. JOG POWER LEVER enables precise, one-thumb control.
MAGSEALED BALL BEARING
Following the revolutionary waterproof and durability technologies applied to the reel body and line roller, DAIWA has extended these advancements to a crucial small component that significantly impacts reel rotation: the ball bearing. Through proprietary technology, DAIWA has become the first in the world to successfully apply MAGSEALED technology directly to the ball bearing itself. By creating a barrier of magnetic fluid, the intrusion of water and foreign particles into the ball bearing is prevented, maintaining its original smooth and light performance. This innovation eliminates the need for traditional seals or packing, significantly reducing rust, salt damage, and unwanted noise. As a result, the waterproofing and durability of the reel are dramatically enhanced, allowing it to retain its initial performance for a longer period.
MAGMAX MOTOR
The MAGMAX motor, featured in Daiwa's electric reels, is a high-performance motor that distinguishes itself by utilizing powerful rare-earth magnets, compared to traditional motors that often rely on ferrite magnets. This results in a more compact and efficient design, offering increased torque and power while maintaining smooth operation. The use of these magnets allows the motor to generate a stronger magnetic field, contributing to improved energy efficiency and greater durability. Compared to conventional motors, the MAGMAX motor provides a significant advantage in performance, particularly in demanding fishing scenarios where reliability and power are crucial.
ATD
DAIWA’'s ATD (Automatic Drag) technology is an innovative system designed to address the issues found in traditional drag systems. Previously, the main problem was the lack of smoothness when the drag first engaged. ATD ensures a smooth initial drag, releasing lines with consistent tension under strong pressure, and offering gradual resistance under lighter pressure. This adaptability reduces the need for frequent adjustments of drag force and also improves hooking rates. Enhanced drag washers maintain drag strength during long fights, giving anglers an advantage against large fish. ATD provides a stress-free and efficient fishing experience.
MAGMIGHT STRUCTURE
This structure maximizes the motor's power within the limited space inside an electric reel. It enables high power and high speed even in compact spaces. Additionally, it enhances motor cooling, contributing to improved motor drive efficiency.
FF STRUCTURE
The FF structure (front-motor structure) in Daiwa's electric reels offers several significant benefits by positioning the motor, which can be considered the engine of an electric reel, in front of the spool. Firstly, it allows for a more compact design by relocating the motor outside the spool, reducing the overall size and height of the reel, which enhances its maneuverability. This ergonomic improvement makes it easier for anglers to operate switches and clutches with their thumb, leading to a more comfortable fishing experience. Secondly, the independent motor enables a robust waterproofing system, allowing the reel to be washable, a feature highly appreciated by anglers who value maintaining their gear. Previously, the internal motor design made it difficult to achieve proper waterproofing, as water would enter through the gear's rotation axis, but this issue has now been resolved. Thirdly, this structure improves durability by protecting the motor from water, which, in turn, increases the motor’s lifespan. Anglers have come to recognize that washing their reels prolongs their life. Fourthly, the separation of the motor from the spool enhances cooling efficiency, as heat no longer accumulates around the spool, which used to be an issue when the motor was inside. Lastly, this design allows for smoother spool rotation, improving free spool performance and enabling the tackle to drop more quickly, offering a more agile fishing experience.
SYNCHRO LEVEL WIND
A mechanism in which the left-right oscillating movement of the level wind is synchronized with the spool rotation during both line drop and retrieval. This not only maintains an even line lay but also ensures a smoother line drop.
DOT LCD
Features a large dot matrix LCD that remains clearly visible even under direct sunlight and when wearing polarized glasses. The menu screen is easy to navigate, making various settings straightforward to adjust.
