By using high-friction titanium material for the brake discs, the BITURBO BRAKE SYSTEM achieves double the braking efficiency compared to previous models, delivering powerful stopping force. The brake response time to reach the necessary braking force is also reduced to one-quarter of the usual, allowing strong braking power to be exerted with minimal effort.
MAGSEALED
DAIWA's MAGSEALED technology is designed to prevent water, salt, and debris from entering the reel, using magnetic fluid to form a barrier that protects critical components like bearings, line rollers, and gears from saltwater. DAIWA adapted magnetic fluid technology initially developed by NASA for dust protection in hard drives used in space. Unlike traditional rubber seals that increase handle rotation friction, the magnetic fluid is held in place by a magnetic field, reducing friction and enabling smooth operation. This technology enhances the reel's durability and performance, significantly improving reliability in harsh fishing environments without requiring meticulous maintenance.
AIR ROTOR
AIR ROTOR is designed to achieve the ideal spherical shape for a rotating body. Through high-precision rigidity analysis, it maintains the same level of rigidity as traditional rotors while achieving significant weight reduction and lower inertia. The reduction in inertia allows anglers to stop and wind the reel at will, providing excellent responsiveness and a lighter, smoother winding experience.
QUICK DRAG
The QUICK DRAG system allows for rapid adjustment of drag settings with just a small turn of the drag knob. With adjustments possible within a 1/4 to 1/2 turn compared with a normal drag, it enables instant response to sudden runs by fish.
LC-ABS
The LC-ABS spool features a two-step design on the front edge to enhance line release performance and streamline the flow. While maintaining the trouble-free usage of the previous ABS spool, it achieves an approximate 5% increase in casting distance combined with a reduction in spool weight.
