Daiwa still recommends keeping the leader connection outside the rod guides to reduce the risk of the knot striking the guide train. The wider levelwind does not remove the need for an appropriately compact, correctly tied connection.
Full-Aluminum Hyperdrive Housing
The frame, gear-side plate, and dial-side set plate use aluminum alloy. This full-metal construction supports the four-part Hyperdrive Design: Hyperdrive Digigear, Hyper Double Support, Hyper Armed Housing, and Hyper Tough Clutch.
